Biography

Charles Collins is an African American choreographer, performing artist, and educator who uses voguing to tell his communities stories. He lives in Fort Worth, TX. Originally from Kansas City, KS, where he found his passion for dance and creating movement. He received a B.S. in Theatre and  Dance from Lamar University and is currently a second-year M.F.A., Costume Coordinator, and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Texas Woman’s University. He’s the Company Director and curriculum curator at Studio C Dance in Burleson, TX where he also teaches community, competitive and pre-professional dance classes. 

Collins’s Choreography has been showcased globally and he has presented work at the American College Dance Association, Club Jeté, LA, HYPE Showcase, Dallas, TX, Texas Woman’s University, Denton, TX, Lamar University, Beaumont, TX, Universal Dance Association, Orlando, FL, and National Dance Alliance, Orlando, FL.
